BRIEF APPRISAL REPORT FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2007 - 2008
Bafakhy Yatheem Khana Teacher Training Institute, one of the prestigious educational institution working under Tirur Taluk Sunni Orphanage Committee, was established in 2006 with the recognition of the National Council for Teacher Education. (SRC) Bangalore. As the Govt delayed providing NOC, we waited one academic year and still we found the Govt. in the same policy we approached the Hon. .High Court of Kerala and as per the court order we started the class in this academic year –i.e., 2007-2008., from October first onwards.
All the academic activities are going on in a highly satisfactory way and students are ready for their external examination with full confidence. The Institute is always vigilant for its Mission i.e. “Academic Excellance With Social Justice”.
ADMISSION AND STRENGTH
The present admitted strength (2007 -08) of this institution is 22 (as the Govt delayed providing NOC, we were not given the merit quota candidates) among these 4 are males and 18 females.

The college is having sufficient industrious and qualified staff. LAB FACILITIES
All the Laboratories are well furnished and equipped as prescribed by the NCTE and Govt. of Kerala.
Some of our main laboratories and workshop facilities are:
PSYCHOLOGY LAB
The college has a well-furnished lab viz Psychology Lab, Audio Visual Lab, Physical Science Lab and Physical Education Labs per NCTE norms. In the Psychology lab, there are hundreds of tests based on Psychological principles, including Koh’s Block Design Test, Pass A Long Test, Mirror Drawing Test, Target Darting Test, Finger Dexterity Test, Memory Drum etc.
COMPUTER LANGUAGE LAB A new Computer lab was set up in this academic year and it was inaugurated in November 18th 2007. The Computer lab can be used as Language lab also. The Lab possesses well-equipped Latest 15 new computers. There is an LCD projector and a DVD movie camera in this lab.

College Library
The college is having well furnished library which contained 4727 books. This year we have purchased 599 books and two more shelves. The library is having 29 journals, 5 Dailies, 127 CD’s and 15 cassettes. The library is fully computerized.
VARIOUS COMMITTEES In the beginning of the academic year itself, the institution prepared a well organized year plan for Academic and Non-academic activities. In each occasion we discussed all the matters in staff meetings and parliament and conducted the programmes in a democratic way. VARIOUS ACTIVITIES During the academic year diversified activities were conducted with a view to provide the first hand experience for the student teachers. Some of the relevant programmes in the series are
Course Inauguration - B Y K Academic year 2007-08 started with the prayer and blessing inaugural words of the Manager Padiyath Muhamed Haji. , on November 12th 2007.
AIDS Awareness Programme.- The Day was observed on 1-12-2007. The Function was presided by the Principal and Miss. Jyothi. M. Principal, B Y K T T I , Inaugurated the Programmes .All the Students took a pledge against the fatal deices by wearing cross red ribbons. T.T.I Students also participated in the Function. There was also a Quiz competition and a few students shared their Experience.
Academic Orientation.- Inaugurated by the College Administrator Mr. Adimali Muhammed Faizy, on 01-10-2007. Course briefing by Mr. Shihab K T., Students Self introduction took place.
‘Spot the Talents’ -An activity conducted on 11 .12. 2007 with a view to trace the embedded potentialities of the student teachers in curricular and co curricular fields.
Student self government through voting system and review of the parliament takes place monthly. Academic matters and responsibility shoulders by the pupil in a democratic way.
Days of National importance like Independence Day and Republic Day were celebrated in deserving dignified manner with a colorful March past. In the programme the Principal of B.Ed Training college Ajithkumar T.M. hoisted the flag and delivered the Day Message. Later competitions in quiz and patriotic songs were conducted. The total students and teachers participated very actively in it with the spirit of sportsmanship.
Celebration of Christmas, Bakrid and New Year : Christmas, the festival of peace- was celebrated in the college on 18.12.2007. Christmas cake was cut and carol was conducted. Mr. Raju. C. Chacko gave away the message of Christmas. New Year Friend was selected and gifts were exchanged. Bakrid was also celebrated the same day. Mr. Muhammed Amannullah. A. K , gave the massage.
‘KAVIYARANGU’ – Four eminent poets of the district were participated in the programme. Mr. Thaha Jamal was the coordinator of the Programme.
Id-Ul-Fithar Celebration: -Will be Conducted as per Schedule
15 – days Community Living Camp As demanded by T.T.TC curriculum, 15 days Residential was conducted on the month of April 21 to May 4th. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Kunchappu ( Panchayath President – Kalpakanchery) The first day was meant for the preparation or the comming days. At night the first camp parliament was formed. The second day started with assembly followed by soap making. Afternoon, the students were engaged on the Interview with an Eminent teachers Mrs. Safiya, who won the Nettikkadan Best Teacher Award of 2008. The third day of the Community Living Camp started as usual with morning Assembly Proceeded by Candle making and preparation for Video Lessons. The evening of the same day was engaged with “ Nakshathra Nireekhanam” by Mr.Rasheed Odakkal, Secretary, MARS Malappuram. The fourth day of the Community Living Camp was blessed with “Pavanatakam” Making of finger Puppets by the trainees. At night, formed the Second Parliament of the camp, had a Personality Development Class lead by Mr. Abdul Latheef. The Same night there was film show “ The Kids” by Charle Chaplin. The seventh day, there had an Interaction session with Mr. Abdul Jabbar ( President OISCA Chapter, Malappuram). He distributed the trainees, high Yeldling seeds to cultivate in the primise of the Institute. Eighth day there was Video Programming of the Camp activities, followed by Nattarivu by Jaleel Prappanagadi. Nineth day there was Social Service Programe, the trainees made clean the near by Primary Health Centre. The tenth day of the Camp, trainees conducted a One day Field Trip to Wayanadu, we visited, Edakkal Cave, Pookkoduthadakam and ‘Kanavu’ Journey ended with the visit at Mathrubhoomi Kottakkal Branch. The Eleventh day there celebrated Natakakkalari which was a marvellous experience for the trainees. The twelfth day they prepared the module for the forth coming 3 days school camp. And the school camp, Comenced on the thirteenth day of the camp and continued for 2 days and ended with afternoon of the fifteenth day.

Sports Meet:The sports meet for this academic year was conducted on16-3-2008. The meet was opened by Mr.Muhammed Ali Muniyoor, Director Dept .Physical Education, Sullamuslam College, Areekode. The ‘Winter’ group won the overall championship. The individual Championship for men was awarded to Mr.Shaharib,V and that for women was awarded to Miss Sini VT .All members of staff extended their whole- hearted co-operation for the smooth conduct of the meet. The Physical Education teacher, Mr. Muhammed Musthafa had taken all steps to make the programme a grand success. In the closing ceremony, prizes and certificates were distributed by the Principal.
Club Activities. Various clubs such as Social Science Club,Health Club,Science Club ,Mathematics Club,English Club and Sahitya Vedi are running under the guidelines of the concerned faculties.
Try out Practice The try out practice was done on 28th ,29th ,30th ,31th of January and 1st / 2nd of February 2008.Near by three schools were selected . The Headmasters and the staff of the schools have extended their sincere cooperation.
Seminars and Workshops A Three days Workshop on different subjects by the joint venture of DIET and SCERT were attended by the Teacher Educators on 10th ,11th ,12th ,September of 2007.
PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION PTA general body meeting of this academic year was held at college auditorium on 4th October and 22nd December 2007 and 3rd April 2008.
EVALUATION
With a view to evaluate the progress of the trainees, assignments, class tests, seminars, written tests etc. are provided. Besides these, one terminal examination conducted.
CLASS MAGAZINE An excellent Magazine was published for the academic year 2007-08. The magazine “PUTU NAMBUKAL” was released by Mr.T.M Ajith Kumar,Principal BYK B.Ed Training college.
